I don't fume, but it's my understanding that it has to be 22-24K gold to fume. Old Jewelry is seldom that pure because it would be way too soft. If memory serves me correct, white gold doesn't have a high enough gold content - but I could be wrong (it's been 20 years since I worked for a jewelry manufacturer). I'm sure those that do it will let us know. It's been something that I've been wanting to try, but have way too many other things I want to do to get around to them all.
