Yup I let mine cool just a bit before slathering the clear on lol! Can't help with the petals as I am still struggling with florals myself. I did some burgandy on white, some topaz and butterscotch and some light green that marbles beautifully. Don't have pics yet will have to wait til after my show on Saturday since I am so far behind at getting ready lol! Not a good week to have the flu.
