I have done both. I love the look of encased beads! But I used the Effetre white and clear with the Devardi rose. I had trouble when I only used it with itself. However-I did not have any trouble when I used some of the first clear I got from them. Just after that first shipment. I also figured out it does need a good heat bath before putting them in the kiln.
