Hi - I have the Canon elph. I have been using it for about a year. The pics are best on the auto mode with the macro setting, on a tripod using the timer. However, I used my nephews Nikon 35mm the other day and I won't be using the canon anymore for my beads. The difference is just too great. I will be saving up for a 35mm. I wish I had spent the extra money to begin with. My nephew said he got his at Ritz for about $500. My canon was about $150. Good luck!
