I use a small flat rate box, if you have a ton you might be better with the medium flat rate.
I have done a variety of ways, today I put them in a freezer bag, wrapped a little bubble wrap around that. It pretty much filled the box, but I did stuff a few pieces in there to fill it up so that there wouldn't be any jostling around.
Sometimes I put them on craft pipe cleaners, sometimes I just pile them in the freezer bag. Today I just strung them all on a long ribbon before putting them in the bag. No rhyme or reason except for the bag. I figure when they open the box it would help to keep them from spilling out and bouncing around on the floor
