I wouldn't encase with anything but DH Aether or Zephyr - they are immaculate! They don't even need washing, let alone pickling or skinning. I'm using up my leftover ESC and Vetro clear as the base for soft opaque glass like ivory, white, etc. Same as I wouldn't use anything but Schott 90coe clear because it is so superior to BE clear.
