No, I have not had any crack on me. I used morietti to encase these. How much brass are you using? I used very little brass spread thin out on my marver (a little goes a very long way).
It would make sense if you have too much brass and a lot of bubbles that it would weaken the bead. Kind of like when you use too much baking soda to make bubbles in beads. Too much is the kiss of death, lol.
I would also put them into the kiln a little on the hot side.
