Most of my customers will tell you one of the best deals in the store is a the grab bag for $8 - One pound of mixed glass in 96 compatible coe. The glass is untested- you may have some that isn't' worth it and you may have some you can't find anywhere else - It's a true treasure hunt
Right now, order three and get your 4th at only a penny - enjoy!

Can you give us a ball park figure what shipping would be on 4 lbs?

I paid $8.98 to get it to maine.
And only "most" of your customers Jessica?
Those grab-bags are the BEST deal ever!! So much fun for PPP beads---awesome for "new folks" who just want to play, make spacers, or frit-beads--or practice single-color-pressed beads...the price is right & you get some *awesome* colors & fun stuff in there!! I these things!!
(and yes, I just totally broke my 'I'm not buying any glass' vow & ordered grab bags & it's all Jess's fault!!!)

My system uses the USPS calculator and adds $1 for the weight of packing materials- so you can check there for your area and get an exact quote- it does also show you shipping before you check out (I hate getting shipping surprises)

Yeah I really like these grabbags. And like you Lyn I vowed not to spend any more money. OK I lied.
ETA I lied about spending money not liking the grabbags!!

Most customers only because some like the thrill of playing with shocky poppy hex colors or cleaning their own shorts
Thanks guys- I always love the grab bags sales- amazing how much some of you can go through! I use my grab bags for set of hollows- no compatability issues and there are such great variations in some of these I can have a necklace with 8 shades of brown trans hollows!

Oh Geez. I guess now is the time to give it a try huh? Maybe I can eat beans and rice for the next month or two.
I thought I had finally decided to only get a a few colors of 104 to fill in the blanks. But there my Frits sit 'cause I don't want cracked beads.
How does this stuff work with Aventurine does anyone know? I'm worried about using that with 104 also.
Jessica, what do you mean when you say "you may have some that isn't worth it?" Worth what?
Thanks for all the info,
Angela

Never mind the question about Aventurine. I'm reading about it now at Phoenix. Great info on how to work the frits and glass are all there!

Hi,
Do you ship to Canada? I tried an order but on checkout it said there were no available methods to ship to my destination.
Thanks.

The grab bags are not just colors I have tested and sell- they are true grab bags from crates of glass that has been used together in the past at a bead and button factory or a chandelier factory 20-50 years ago. Since some are colors I may only have one or two rods of- there is sometimes a rod that you may not expect to be shocky that pop the whole way down- or a color that scums - that sort of not worth it. Sometimes a rod may be too large too easily use with your torch (I try to only have one thick rod in a bundle- so let me know if you are on a hot head and I will reject any bundle with thick rods for you) Luckily, the price is right and there is other glass in the bundle so there is always enough to make the whole package worth it.
Not all play well with 104- but I really like using the pale browns as a base for florals using 104 glasses - if you follow the no more than 15% rule over or under 104 you are usually ok- but it is not a rule with these- you may not be ok.
I've had no aventurine issues- I do use it fairly often with these. I like to mix it with Sienna brown as a base color on an organic bead.

I do- unfortunately, I have not completed updating the site since they changed shipping- I need to do some minor (hoepfully) reprogramming- if you email your order to jessica@phoenixartsupplies.com I will send you an invoice with shipping you can accept or tell me no thanks.

I just love to use them with FRIT!! (so I figure, I don't care if they play with my 104 or not ) And with *patience* my hothead will even melt the fat rods...and it's kind of a zen thing...patience is goood....

I melted the big ones on my hh as well - same reason- melting anything is cool (heck I melted a boro rod just to know I could)
I do love testing frit on the 96 colors with abandon!

I've too felt that melting glass in a flame is very Zen like. I was afraid when I upgraded my torch from a HH that it might be too fast and I wouldn't have that time for contemplation, or patience, or that Zen like feeling.
But it's still there!!! It's like most of time I can not think about anything but the moment. And even when I can it's just different somehow.
I love it!

Oh cool Jessica. Got any pictures already that you could post?
How did you stamp them? Did you make a clay stamp? I think I need to buy some clay to make stamps. Would polymer clay work for stamps or does it have to be real clay?

Oh, what a good idea! I used to love using those leather stamps on leather. They always looked so pretty, there was no way to mess them up.
I've never used metal working stamps but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for some used ones, both kinds!
Thanks,
Angela

Did you get transparent grey? I think it's a really elegant color with opaque white.
