Default What fan should I put in my Glasscraft hood??

My Glasscraft hood survived the house and studio fire but the fan in it did not. The cord is melted and the housing looks warped so it's trash. This was the original fan that the Glasscraft hood kit came with and from what we found out all these years later, those fans weren't good enough.

I was going to replace it anyway so what CFM and recommended site or brand do you think is good? My studio room is 10x12 with open windows behind me for make-up air.

Thanks!

By brand and model, I don't know but I seem to remember hood being 42X28 inches so that would require a fan of about 1000 cfm...

But I could be wrong on dimensions...

I got a squirrel cage blower and built a vacuum plenum for mine, also exhaust from the top instead of the end. I covered the end hole with Lexan (lets in light) and cut a hole in the top to fit the exhaust duct. Look at Grainger if you're buying a new one, furnace repair folks if you want something used.

It's about 2ftx4ft, so your numbers are correct! I took the hood apart and use one half of it (2ftx2ft) with a new side added with baffles all the way around with a 450 CFM fan and it works great!
