New Frit Blend Gallimaufry
I've been mixing my own frit blends for a while now and I'm ready to offer some limited edition blends. Here is the first pre-release of Gallimaufry. It is a reactive 96 CoE blend that is packed with silver glass and looks great on a wide variety of base colors.
It loves base glass colors with silver such as Silver Plum and Canyon de Chelly, and reactive colors such as Copper Green, Opal Yellow and Violet. Use it on those fussy silver colors that give you olive drab and watch it bloom. Limited quantities.
4 oz. jar $16.50 plus shipping
2 oz. jar $8.50 plus shipping
Shipping is as follows: U.S. $3.50; Canada $5; Everywhere Else $8.50

I will be strong and keep my promise to the hubs. Physical pain. I think I'm bleeding. No glassy items until after the first!!

They are absolutely stunning! I am a frit ho and have come back to this thread like 6 times. *sighs* 2 weeks. The owls are darling and the donuts look like church windows.

Monica you are so funny. I have a jar set aside with your name on it. And I have enough ingredients to mix up another batch if people like it.

This wouldn't happen to be named after the planet of the Timelords? I see some TARDIS blue in there, I think..

I had to look up the Timelords reference Robin. Gallifrey is the home planet of Dr. Who. And indeed this frit blend strikes to some shades of Tardis blue (among lots of other colors).
A Gallimaufry is a medley or mixture of things. From the French Galimafree, a stew made of anything handy. I just like the way the word sounds. And spell checker likes it.
I've already named the next two frit blends in my limited edition line, Margaritaville and Metamorphosis. There will probably be five blends total, I'm still thinking about names for the others.

Probably didn't help that I changed my name, photo and caption all at once. Same avatar for now anyway.

Thanks Kalera! That means a lot coming from someone who makes such beautiful frit beads.
People seem to really like the beads I make with it, that is what made me think about offering it for sale.

It's so pretty I actually had a little zing of frit jealousy when I saw it!
I bet you'll do extremely well with it, it's a really gorgeous blend and different from anything else I've seen. You have a real eye for color and hand for mixing.

Thanks again Kalera! I have revised the pricing to include international shipping rates and added a 2 oz. jar option. I will include a sample of my second blend Margaritaville with each purchase.
