Do you have a favorite glass for silver dots?
(My search of the LE archives revealed that this topic hasn't been discussed for well over a year.)
We've had many new silver glass colors appear since then.
Do you have a favorite silver glass for creating metallic dots or other surface decorations? Any characteristics that make it extra special?

For making silver dots, I use the Effetre plum. It's purple when cased, but silver with just slight reduction.

I have almost 1/4 lb Rembrandt I'd happily sell or trade...
I've only made one good bead with it, and it took forever.
But it was a GOOD bead...
Maybe I should hang onto it a bit longer.

one of my favorite things to do with the Rembrandt is to make a base bead (or marble) with Devardi ivory (yes i'm saying there IS one Devardi color i use lol) and then thin case it with Rem. get it soupy hot, shape and reduce. makes a really nice finish.

Helios is gorgeous, yes. A very light reduction was gold for me, and more than that became silver.

I like Triton and Aurae for silver/gold dots when I can reduce and Silver Plum when using oxy. Depends upon the beads and what colors you've used as to what type of silver glass is best. I also use Iris Yellow for a beautiful gold metallic look and Iris Gold Dark is nice too. I also have a discontinued Zimmerman cane that's clear but turns dark silver when reduced. There are so many different glasses out there now that have such wonderful lusters that it's really a personal preference for us now!
