how did you do that (the implosion)?
Its not actually an implosion. I took some red crayon color, encased in plenty of clear, then pulled it down a bit to make the boro equivalent of all the soft glass filigrana that I have. Then I fused the end of that bit to a rod of clear on each end. So I had a single rod that was a clear rod with a short section of filigrana in the middle. Then I used that rod to make the whole leg, with the filigrana section ending up in the knee area, and a little twisting as I went. It was made to represent a rebuilt ACL. Took me a lot of attempts to figure out how long each section needed to be to make it come out in the right place. I'm sure there is probably some easier way to do it, but that's all I could think of at the time

Because I only work soft glass, I never think to come in here. I'm a dork; there are some incredibly gorgeous pieces here! Beautiful work.

And, if I may, I love the Yoda although it looks a little more like Yogurt from Spaceballs to me LOL

Wow. Just. WOW!
Such awesome work, I'm almost embarrassed to post. (almost )
Here are today's goodies from the kiln.
Same base on the pendant as the egg, and same colors for the Dragons.
I'm running out of colors LOL! And a purple seahorse for just because I have to PPP before GS! It's going to be my demo. *insert wobbly kneed smiley here*

This month is shaping up to be a good show and tell. I actually have some to put in, a new turtle that I am hoping to make a sculpture to attach him to, that isn't lint on his nose it is sparkle glass and I have been trying my hand at making dolphins, they still need some practice and I am still playing with how to hang them (with a tiny loop for jump ring or reg bale) and where to put the bale to show them off the best.....but first kudos to the rest of the contibutors
B, great flowers
The B ball player is fantastic
Christian I could look at yours work all day.
Marcel love your eyes, esp like the little one with tentacles
Kati!!!!those carved beads are so awesome can't wait to see some when we are out there. B and I will hopefully get to see y'all this trip, Be there in Sep.
Mike, very patriotic! the twistie bale is great
Nita, your little dragons are so stinkin cute
Juba, holy cow those are fan..freakin..tastic!!!
Indy, great eye
Donna, great colors and did u use one of those bent mandrels for that last one? how cool

Great turtle and dolphins and I was thinking....... what about turning the dolphins fin into a bail. You would make the fin then pinch a hole into it with one of those 'hole pincher things'.

That is cool Morgan, next one I think you should do some kinda cool design as a mask then sand blast so you have the design all shiny boro goodness. Just an idea it might be a nice contrast
