Default Crosses visited again

I searched LE, I searched the internet and I searched youtube.

I am not finding the answers or even clues to what I am looking for.

I know, I am always looking for something. LOL it is a curse and a blessing. I am never bored.. well not yet anyway.

I would like to make some crosses. I have checked out the crosses I found in the searching and while they are wonderful, they are just not what I am wanting.

I am looking for a cross that is delicate looking in nature, mostly likely off mandrel and has pinched arms. Is a more elaborate sort of cross and not overly large, I would guess 2" tall or less. I saw some like I am talking about on etsy and also in ebay (made in china). It appeared they were using some sort of encasing or implosions with them. Also the loop is form loop at the top.

Anyone have a clue on how to begin? Tutorials? Worksheets? I think I have a way figured out, but since I am so limited on time to play the more help I can get the more I can try.

Thanks everyone in advance for you help and ever lasting patience with the pestering of newbies.

Cher

The pinched arms make it sound a bit like a Maltese cross or a Celtic design. You might find more help if you could supply some kind of image for people to use as a clue.

Would be celtic more than maltese.

I will see if I can find some images.
Thanks

I have a few pics on my website in one if the galleries. I would be more than happy to explain how they are done if you see one you like.

I think the ones you are referring to are off mandrel and almost appear fused looking, with the loop at the top. (or are you talking about an ank?) They may be a combination of both techniques... Either way, it's not made like a traditional bead style would be, although there are many variations that can be made easily-ish with more 'bead style' techniques
