Pumpkin Pie?
It's hard to say from the photo. It's either Pumpkin Pie or Chocolate Chip. When I get the new colors up on the website I'll post closeup pix.
These are TRANSLUCENT colors and look ever-so-yummy. I can't wait to play with them. If you want to pre-order a little I can set some aside for you. I wasn't sure about these new ones so I didn't order much.....just enough to test, really, so they'll be gone in a heartbeat, .. Do let me know if you want some, though.

Regarding the Orange.....they were out of ALL of their Orange's when I ordered. They were making some this week, so I'll check. They're "transparent" is often a bit translucent. I'll ask René for photos of the new Orange and see if it strikes or not...

I just emailed him and asked for the pix, as well as whether it's reactive.

Thanks for all of your orders! For those of you who wanted me to set aside the Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, etc., I'll invoice you by the end of the work day on Monday. As I suspected, they're almost gone, although I think there's a little left of the Butternut yellow...the middle heart in the photo posted above. I think we may have to limit orders to 1/4 lb, though...
Don't worry, I'll get them to send me more right away if you all like them! We need to get that new Orange they're making anyway....

Chocolate Kiss?
Well, I've started adding some of my new colors.....So far I've just added Opaque Coral Red, Lemony Snickett, and Butternut. Next one up is Chocolate Chip.....But I was thinking. Chocolate KISS is even yummier. Anybody mind that I change the name??

SNT 150 Lauscha Transparent ORANGE
I promised you, Chevygirl, that I would find out about the Orange for you. So here we go. First, it IS a striking orange. René from the factory sent me the following images this morning:

These are courtesy of Heather Kelly Glass. Thank you Heather!!!
Here are her comments from her testing of the color:
"The new batch of orange stays transparent in spacers,
but not when it is worked for longer. I made a hollow pumpkin from it and you can't really see into it at all.
I made three spacers on the same mandrel: the new orange needs more deliberate striking than the old.
You can see that the bead I made last isn't properly struck so is pale yellow, while the bead in the middle
was struck the most and is darkest.
The new batch is a nice saturated colour: it is more like CiM Clockwork.
The colour and striking properties are more like Clockwork,
but Clockwork doesn't usually go so opaque - it tends to go misty instead.
The current batch is definitely a more unique colour, though.
The summary was it offers more opportunities than CIM!"
Heather has loads of great info on her blog, which is at:
http://kalorlo.wordpress.com/2012/08...e-transparent/
And she may chime in here about the color as well, who knows!!!
Regarding the two pumpkins above, right. The darker pumpkin is from the newest Lauscha Orange. The lighter pumpkin is from a previous batch of Orange.
So what do you think? Should I order some???

*waves* Hellooo! If anyone has more questions about the new orange, I've got some of my samples left so can do further tests.

Can it be encased? Is it compatible with other 104 CoE glass? It is beautiful.

I haven't encased it yet: I wouldn't anticipate any problem with either of the Lauscha clears or with Effetre. I've used the older orange with CiM celadon. Those are definitely things I can test.
These gremlins have Effetre black, Lauscha cryolite white (teeth), Effetre white (eyes), murrini that include silver glass and CiM, and an egg yolk batch of Effetre dark yellow (lips and eyelids). The base of the one on the left is the orange we're talking about here.
I'll make something encased and something with colours more mixed together.

Here is Lauscha Butternut, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Kiss, swirled and pressed into a leaf.
There is a tiny smidge of Glass Diversions Utopia blend frit on the front, that's the green at the tip, and on the left near the top.

I was wondering about that green! It totally balances out the color, I think. Don't you? I love the way this all works together! The Lauscha looks yummy.....getting me all ready for autumn colors and Halloween.....

They are gorgeous colors. I love them. And the little tiny bit of green is perfect.
