Toni, I love those purple pinks. !!!
The colors I used are all Momka's colors and other than Blue Lightning as a base, and Purple Haze on that, I honestly forgot except for the clear encasement. I did these a couple of weeks ago.

Default NS Exotic Hearts

I made 4 hearts the same way, but each uses a different member of the NS Exotic series. From left to right they are: NS Red Exotic, NS Blue Exotic, NS Green Exotic, and NS Aurora. I still don't know why call it Blue Exotic since I have been unable to get much blue out of it. Maybe you get the blues when you use it?

If you pull stringers of the blueexotic and put them in inside out work you get blu-green..Try using an Oxidizing flame to burn off the haze. Try not to reduce, even after it is encased....Might help, thats how I use it.

Thanks you guys!! The first set is a variation of dougie pink - I'll have to look at the bead itself, but I think for the middle one I used bubblegum or white as a base because I didn't want it to be translucent all the way through. I also may have used a very small clear rod in the center of the twist rather than an 8mm to get more color. The second set is amazon nite stringer over cherrywood. I have been compiling color combos from everywhere I can find them and starting to try them out - I HAVE to remember to take notes though, my ADD takes over when I'm playing and I don't remember anything! lol

I just finished a really nice set using bubblegum as a base, and half the beads cracked.
Have you had any problems with encasing bubblegum?

I made a large pink heart that has a clear core, then a thick layer of bubblegum, and then encased it all with a heavy layer of transparent pink. I have used it deep incased in some flower implosions as well and I haven't had any problems. Maybe you got a bad batch?

There was deffinetly a bad batch a couple (6ish) months ago, maybe more. The frit made everything crack. The rods kinda behaved like soft glass warming up. They exploded. I found about maybe 30% of what i made with it cracked.

Here is a picture of that bubblegum heart. It was "adopted" by my youngest daugter, so I am afraid I can't send it on to you.

My littlest guy is in the "I'm not your baby" stage. I told him that even when his hairline looks like the coast of Florida, he would still be my baby.

Thank you!

This was one of the first beads I made a few months ago, and I haven't tried another lately. Maybe I'll have to.

It was either a base bead of AP or DAP, Magic Mirror 'zig zag' on top, not melted in, and encased in clear.
The bubbles happened on their own, like Magic. I certainly can't take any credit for that.

Me neither. I thought of changing the lable on it from
"Magic Mirror"
to
"Rod with cool sounding name that I can't get to do sh%$#t with"
but that wouldn't fit on the lable.

You'd think with a name like "magic mirror" the results would be more 'oh wow'-ish.

So...where do I get this "Magic Mirror" stuff....I gotta get my hands on some to see how badly I can mess it up!!!

Have not had much interest in torching this week....we had to put our Riley to sleep on Monday....he was my constant companion and demanded to go to the studio every day....not ready to face the studio without him.

Hi Lynn, and I am sorry about Riley, I know how important our pets are to us.

It is Momka's 'Magic Mirror' and you can get it at a lot of places, but I prefer Mountain Glass Arts here in Asheville, I know I am biased

Here is their Momka's page:
