Default I am looking for a double ended cone mandrel

I am looking for a double ended cone mandrel
I would like to make cones for the ends of Kumihimo braids.
I have seen some for sale. But I would like to find some that are 2 ended.
This may sound weird, but if you have one, you will know what I am trying to describe.
If anyone is able to make them, maybe we could talk.
Please PM me if you want more info.
Thanks, Lor

Default Cone mandrel

Lori,
I could probably make you one but at this point I have no idea what you have in mind. Perhaps you could elaborate a bit or show a drawing of what you need; even a pic of a single ended one would be of help.

Oops, just reread your post and put my reply here and not in a PM, sorry

Hi Lori, how will you handle the cooling off of one cone shape while you form the other? I assume you will be annealing. Even if you fiber blanketed the one, by the time you get around to forming the second......just doesn't flow for consistency. Seems less hassle to just buy/have two cone mandrels than one dumbell shaped mandrell that would jeopardize the annealing process/timing of your first piece. I'm just saying.....

That was pretty much my thought on a double ended mandrel... seems sort of awkward. But maybe I'm missing something here. Still open to making one though.

Lori do you mean one cone on each end? You will have problems like Ofilia says.
Or
Do you mean 2 cones side by side?
