Default another coring question about tubing...

Where do people buy their brass and copper tubing, and what diameter they use for pandora beads?

Pia....check out Ginko's Etsy shop

http://www.etsy.com/shop/ginkodesign...ller_usernames

Be sure to get the "fits pandora" tubing, NOT the 1/4 inch. Then your new bead caps will fit perfectly!

Hi Pia, I just started silver coring and thought you might be interested in my research. It took me about 3 months of off and on again searching to find everything I was looking for. Maybe this will make it easier for you.

A helpful tubing comparison guide by forum member Yeepers:

A forum post regarding big hole bead chain & mandrel sizing:

Discussion on silver tubing size from IJS:

For what it's worth....I use a Jim Moore bead press, and silver tubing from Indian Jewelers Supply. It works excellent with the 3/16" mandrels I got from Howaco. I got a little tubing cutter from Sears along with a deburing tool. I would recommend, however, that you look at Dave's Deburing Tool from Art In The Round. The one I got from Sears scratches the heck out of the inside of the silver cores on my beads and upon recommendation from a few forum members, I'll be purchasing Dave's Tool this weekend. I've never got silver tubing from Ginko (she was out when I looked to make the purchase) but I hear nothing but good stuff about her.

P.S. I also got started on coring after I bought some bhb caps on Etsy!

Thank you Alexis, I think I will get my brass and copper tubing from Ginko, I already have ordered my deburing, and liner from Dave. Silver tubing... yeah, Indian Jewelers was my place too.
I did read your post where you were wondering about the deburing damaging the tubing, but I really appreciate you pointing me to few other really good threads about the lining and tubing. Thanks a bunch!

Happy to help! There's so much info on here, it can be tedious to tease out all the pertinent details.

Sure can be, noticed already! But I guess it is all about doing little research before taking the plunge. Well, at least thats the cheaper way around.

Pia, I get copper and brass tubing from my local hobby shop. They have a ton if stuff for model trains and cars. The tubing is really cheap there.

Donna from CGBeadrollers used to have it on her site too (I'm not sure if she still does).

Great tip Cori, thanks a bunch! You can never buy anything too cheap... cheaper is better, if it is otherwise good quality stuff.
