Billets are blocks of glass 5"x10" and 3/4 inch thick... which weigh 3 1/2 lbs.
They are 90 coe and are used for fusing and casting.

We are still ordering the flat glass, just moving away from the rod and billets due to the lower demand. We also have Schott 90 coe rod in 6,9 and 10mm.

Billets for a bead. That would be one big bead. Have you guys even seen Rocio's "largest bead"? It used 19 FEET of Effetre rod!!! IT was for a largest bead contest a few years back. She won.... I remember how she was saying it felt like her arms were going to fall off while she was making it.

Blenko glass made beautiful slabs that are used a lot in stained glass windows for churches. You may have seen these. They are broken up into chunks that are then laid out and resin is cast between them. The surface of the resin it covered with sand.

Well crud.
So Ron ... does that mean you won't be carrying the Schott 90 COE 6 and 10 mm rod in the future either?
I'm bummed.
