Any Reichenbach fans out there?
I have just bought loads of Reichenbach cane and realised I maybe should have asked for advice before....
Are there any colours that are almost impossible to work with? Like way to intense so it's a PITA to get the colour to show.
Any colours more prone to boiling than others?
I have noticed that the R54 black boils and pits quite easily...
Any must haves? My favourites so far are R5 (the gold ruby extra) and the R163 (champange). Any others (with pictures pretty please!)?

I know that Pierces Designs (Debbie) uses a lot of Reichenbach - you can see a lot of info on colors by looking for posts from her. I know there is this one color called enamel white that she hates

That white is like artist oil paint. Very stiff and thick.
I find it boils quite easily but I like my opaques to be really opaque. Especially the white.

Cool! When are you coming over to visit?  Stockholm and Trosa is on the other side, I'm on the west coast, but Stockholm is only a 6 hour drive away. I guess that's close for Americans!

i love the enamel white, it's one of my favs of Reich colors!! it bleeds soooo cool with the rich grey (one of my other favs). the extra light tobacco is my other fav and i use a bunch of it.... hehehe yep, my other fav is iris dark brown opaque... i've got a bunch of reich and it all works perfectly with my uroboros... 'course i'm a newbie and i'm sure there are combos that i've yet to try and problems that my be encountered in the furture- but for now, i'm lovin all of my reich colors!

Isn't that funny? I quit trying to use the enamel white, because I kept ruining it. And the only time I tried the extra light tobacco, it had tons of pitting, so I didn't try it again.
I have been slowly working my way through a bunch of colors. For the transparents, I have been using them to encase the clear and pulling less intense cane. I've heard of others mixing them with clear. I can tell you that these intense colors are perfect for twisted cane, precisely because of how intense they are.

These are from a recent set bought by one of my wonderful customers. This is the bright pink, which I LOVE! It will devitrify a tad, but if you reheat it, that will go away. The other color is light tobacco, which reduces a lot for me, but I like the shading and varying tones. I love the colors that are available.

I have just started using some Reichenbach colors - love the Iris Dark Brown with Iris Amber Green. Yellowish Aurora and Salmon Pink are beautiful. I was told that Enamel White holds its whiteness even used as hairlines just like Intense Black but have never tried it. Just ordered a bunch of different colors from Olympic Color - can't wait to play!

Opaline Pink??!?! LOL It is as far from pink as you get!
One big tip I can offer is if you get pitting, reheat it until it is white hot. That will get rid of the pitting.

Enamel white- try it with silver for fun reactions and coloring
Dark Iris brown is underrated- even the devit is cool with that color - worked without devit it's so rich and has waves of great color
Scarlet Brown - I just love this color
Sorry- dark iris brown is the only one I know I have a pic of now

I use a TON of R-106 which some people call dark raku. Here are some beads I made with R-106 powdered frit.
it does similar things from cane also (pardon the crappy bead - this is just to show color):

Could be- I realized just now that I am using Gaffer enamel white- not Reich in that bead in case you wnat to split hairs I haven't used Reich enamel white powder- I suspect it's the same though

I just bought a bunch of the colors and the reactive colors. Their reactive colors are awesome! Also, heliotrope and a few of the really dark transparents you will need to mix with their clear so that you can see and appreciate the color. I love it. It's a little stiffer than the moretti and easy to work with for sculptural stuff. I'm going to order more before their sale goes away. I also love the lead crystal clear--- it has it's own sparkle.

Thank you everyone for your tips and pictures!
Here is one set that I showed in the S&T the other day. The base bead is champagne with roses made of R5 gold ruby extra over enamel white and leaves of R8904 (sea green?) over enamel white.

I've used their transparents for quite sometime and love them. However, they are very intense. The opaques and transparents have a wide range of variety. I don't see these colors in any other line of glass out there. Their opaque bright pink is tdf! The best pink in glass that I've seen.
