Not sure exactly what you're looking for. Can you link some example pieces? Layered dots covers a lot of territory, from warring states beads to just about everything Brad Pearson has ever done...

The basic concepts of dot stacking and masking are pretty accessible to experimentation.

Most of the soft glass techs carry over to boro. I believe Yunk does most of his work on a bubble though.
