Default Make up air from under workbench opinions?

I'm getting ready to rearrange my work space & set up another torch.
I've heard of some people putting make up air intakes in the floor, so it comes up and not from behind them.
So I got this idea of putting a hole in the floor (with screen over it for bugs) and a pipe or tube so the open end is near the top of my table near the torch. I was thinking that was my A/C would work better in summer and I wouldn't have the colder air coming over my shoulder in winter.

Anyone have this, and if so, how does it work for you?

Default My Vents

This is how I did my vents for make up air.
I have 3 coming in, all smooth wall ducting.
You don't want to use corrugated as it slows down the air flow.
These come out on the sides of the building and have screens
for bugs and little doors that I can shut when I'm not using the studio.

The vents are at the back, away from the torch flame. I don't
want the air to pummel my flame, this works perfectly. I keep my
air conditioned air and only the fume gets sucked out.

Old picture and old torch, I'm running a scorpion these days,
& my creation station is much more burned up these days, lol.

A big thanks to Dale who helped me design this set up. It works great.

From under floor may not be best idea as air may not be as "fresh" as you would like.. Also in some areas Radon gas may be a issue as it can collect under home floors.....

Suggest if you are going to use through the bench ventilation you use a through the wall option and get fresh air that is cleaned and freely circulated by nature...

I should have mentioned I have a shed set up on concrete pads, and nothing restricts the air flow. I think there is at least 4" of clearance under a 12x14 shed in the back yard. I'm not certain but thought with our breezes that air would be circulated pretty regularly.
