I live in Australia & buy Cim Sangre from Affortable Inspirations, which
advertises on Lampwork Etc. Have you tried looking for it on the Cim
website? Surely one of the suppliers must have some for sale.

I see that both Mountain Glass Arts & ABR Imagery have some
Sangre stock. I have bought from both these places without
any problems.

Mountain Snail i ordered mine from Howaco.com

This is the color profile on the Cim site
Sangre
Maraschino

It mentions that Maraschino can possibly turn transparent when worked.
Guess you'll just have to go play

I love Maraschino but Strawberry from Reichenbach is just a half a touch brighter. They are super similar when worked into beads. Almost the same (and neither turns brown or burns - yay!) in tone but Strawberry is just a smidgen brighter, IMO.

So there goes my glass diet, now I'm gonna gain a few pounds

I agree with Lori, Strawberry is a fantastic bright cherry red. It's on sale at Olympic Color right now for $13.90 for a 1/2 pound. Yummy color! http://www.glasscolor.com/products/d...D=120&pID=1638

This red is a cool red but still bright, its lauscha

This is the same red as the above photo

This is also lauscha but a warm red

The other red I really like is persimmon, I have the original "ASK" persimmon and it's also a bright warm red, not sure if the Kugler one is the same brightness.

Pardon the fluff and fuzzies on the beads...can't seem to get away from dust around here...lol

Has anyone tried CIM Valentine? The rods look brownish. I made one bead out of it and, while the color does strike to red, it is a much darker red than CIM Maraschino. Also, it is a very different color under different lighting conditions. Under fluorescent light it is dark and sad but under halogen light it is bright and happy - this was my biggest complaint with the Effetre reds, btw.

I haven't tried Valentine. I just love the color of Cim Sangre red.
This is a photo of Sangre with dichro.

Another vote for Maraschino. howacoglass.com is out right now, but I believe she said she is expecting some more in the next few days.

Frantz had some Maraschino as of a few days ago. I did get some Efferte light red special and it turns out to be just what I was looking for. Thanks to all that posted.
