Oh Cori, we wish you could be here, too! Your ears will be burning - but in the best possible way of course, lol! -- cuz we'll be talking about you, Speck and Bean with lots and lots of love! And, if you're still cookin' that little one by the jam time, we'll have a baby pool to be sure! lol!

much love to you!

Hey everyone! These Glass JAMS at Playing with Fire are one of the best and definitely the most fun events in the northeast! Ed and Virginia do a fantastic job with putting everything together!

Here's what we can do to show our appreciation....simply SHOW UP!! Lets all try to jam their studio to the rafters! I know that they only have 10 torch spots but we can always hang out to watch people do demos (or something).

Oh..and the potluck food is TO DIE FOR! And there's games and surprises too-you'll never know who will walk through that door!

* If you live in Massachusetts (southeastern Mass area) or are in a line from that area towards Rockland Maine and are interested in carpooling send me a pm. I'm planning on (read: hoping to be) leaving sometime on Friday.

Duane

Hi Duane,

Thanks so much! We always manage to have such great fun at the jams, it's true!

Wanted to add: remember that the Granite Inn is one of our great, local BnBs, just a few doors down the street (see contact info in my first post), and room sharing there makes it incredibly affordable to come to a Jam -- with a fantastic breakfast included.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Pam,

I don't know! He's has some major good karma in never having the timing right to meet me on the playing field, or in our case, the killing field! My cribbage board and a deck of cards are at the studio so if you want to give it a go on teaching him a trick or two, go right ahead. It can't hurt him... have you ever seen a man cry like a little girl? When I play Duane, you're gonna!!!

Duane,

How'd I do with my answer???? Ya wanna let Pam teach you a lesson or two? Couldn't hoit! Someday you and I are gonna be in the same place at the same time with a cribbage board and deck of cards. Til then, you just keep that dream of winning and nightmare of losing alive in your mind!

Hey Sue.....your trash talking is like politicians....

Not that I'm a big fan of Romney but did you notice how he didn't do any trash talking in Iowa? And notice how he did! I rest my case. Good luck with your dreams

Wow, this is a spirited chat session!!
I'm coming for Saturday only I believe. I will be bringing some veggies and dip, a salad and something on the less healthy side of things too!

So, what kind of games or trades or give-aways are we going to do? I know a rob your neighbor game...you bring 3 "gifts" to the game. it's a dice game and everyone keeps at least one gift. You can't take someone's last gift. You could play with just glass or glass goodies?

We could also do a bead exchange when you bring one bead to trade and we do a swap. Anyone game for one of these?
Anyone want to demo something? doesn't have to be at the torch, it could also be beading, wire work, or something else.

What other ideas are out there?

Kristi,

I know, I know! Believe me, I am suffering inside. This is two in a row I will have missed. I know everyone will have a blast & a half but I wish I could be there.

As for getting together, pick a weekend when your schedule permits!

Me

PS I'm counting on Pam and Duane mixing it up... aren't I evil? I've sicced them on each other! They'll probably get along and then I'm gonna be picked on forever... sigh... (It's hard for me to be this beautiful, this popular, this much in demand... this delusional! lol I am so full of __fillintheblank__!)

I'm wondering if Pipyr will be around that weekend. Or will she be off in a faraway (maybe warmer) country or state doing a class and demo?

You'll have to ask her Duane, she hasn't been down to the studio yet today. She has posted on facebook, so either pm her, or ask her on FB.

We're not. It's only 1412

And, we're only 3 miles from the airport!

And on the way from the airport to the studio, we pass Primo Restaurant, who, I just heard, have $1.00 oysters at the bar! Woohoo!!!!!!!
