Pic help....Canon S5 IS
Ok, so I have image stablizer, so I guess it is not me moving, why is it focusing on the wrong thing?
One of these is kind of ok, but I need help...... 
These beads are awesome, even if I do say so myself,lol! I really want to do them justice.
I tried to upload another one, and it said it was too big.....  ACKKKKKK! Same set of pics....
I know, i'm an idiot......

Ok, I think I got it....posted these in s&t...would still appreciate tips for beginner with no patience for camera...lol!

Well, I'm no expert. In fact, I suck. But 2 things popped out at me.
1. Either you don't have it in macro mode, or even if you ARE in macro mode, you're still too close in those first pictures.
2. You need a different background. The bead just blends right in. Given the bead colors, I would go with something lighter.
One thing that really helped for me - set the camera for the highest resolution. Then crop the picture down to get it smaller.

I suck at pics.
I didn't bother to learn much, 'cause hubby said he would tak my pics. Now he doesn't have time........
I did try to go super macro, but camera would not let me.
I kinda liked the denim background on the bluish beads.... you mean they are hard to see? I liked how they showed the matching denim aspect......
SEE? I suck..........LOL!

Hey Karen,
I have the same camera as you - it takes a bit of playing around with to get used to but I love it!
Try putting your camera into custom mode "C". This will allow you to enable a super macro function that really lets you get in close with great focus.
