What color do you hate to love?
For me it's CIM Halong Bay. I love the color, but I hate working with it. Slow melting, shocky.
Just made the (I hope) prettiest vessel with it.

EDP for me too. It is so pretty when it works. When it doesn't it can ruin a whole piece.
The successes outweigh the failures.

EDP and colors like Effetre like Caribbean Sea when there is transparent on the inside covered by an opaque. The sample paddles look really cool, but I can never get consistent results using them. They end up all solid instead do the cool straky quality.

CIM Cirrus. Makes the most awesome clouds for planetary marbles, but catching it before the devit can make me crazy. The frit is even harder to work with, but I have hopes of mastering that too... some day, lol!

Honey Crunch. I hate to love those little bitty chunks that are all over my bench.

Effetre anise white #208. BANG! It's shocky and then glass is all over my tabletop and it makes me jump.

Shocky glass doesn't bother me that much. I just put the rod in my kiln & preheat, and hopefully have enough sticking out I don't get burned when I take it out. My biggest evil is EDP. I just love the color but can't use it for anything but dots because it turns chalky. Coral (Effetre) is the same way. And Rubino also persnikity. It must be an art that I haven't mastered yet. What's the trick to that?

I was told to let it cool a bit after getting it shaped, then put it back in the back of the flame & slowly rewarm it to get rid of the divitrification. So far so good.

Yeah, CIM Cirrus makes me nervous. It's so pretty, but I have had some cracking issues. Weird the way it melts, too...all stiff and everything...I don't trust this glass, lol!
And just about anything striking...I have wasted more money on striking glass.
