Less Hot=> Trans. Green

Even Less Hot=> Opaque Blue

Even Lesser=> Opaque White

so you know . . .

it's not about hot until you hit the kiln; and 12 for 30 is longer than I would go with UNUB for sure. in the flame its about chemistry; when I have to work whites aggressively (reducing greens too) I use the same flame sets I do for cadmium colors, so working hot is not a problem.

Try this...

Make a gather and squish it... encase it in clear and build up clear on the flat sides, until you have it just about round...

melt in and make a twistie... this will vary the depth of the color...

Now lay that around the edge of a maria...

Melt in... not really an implosion... just a few compressions will do.

You can also use on the surface... the cool thing about the unexplanium is that it will provide all sorts of colors within the same ribbon cane. You should get a gradual shift in all the ranges, because the color near the surface gets more heat than the center... It's an uber cool color... I've wasted hours playing with it and getting it to shift through all the ranges...

another tip... if you don't like something, run it through the kiln again... rinse and repeat. I had a piece that was really quite bland, until it went through a few cycles and then it was amazing...
