Default My *%@# Camera Died, now I get a new one.

I'm thinking about a Sony A77. Anyone have one? Any thoughts? I compared it to a Nikon D7000 and it seems to have batter features for the $$.

I swear by Nikon! I even had Nikon back in the film days! I have a Nikon D5100 but still don't know how everything works on it yet

I have a SONY Alfa 300 and can not honestly recommend SONY cameras.... They seem to be "snapshot" quality.... Thinking of selling it off and getting Cannon...

Low end Cannon Rebel (T2 or T3) have a lot of good features ...

I have both a Nikond70 and a nikond300 I love both cameras and would highly reccomed Nikon cameras and lenses for image quality, I recently took the photography class at the gathering and the instructor doug baldwin recomended the cannon t2 or t3 for those looking for a resonably priced camera that would be good for taking pics of beads and jewelry

The Nikon D5100 is an extremely capable camera... it does everything we ask of it and then some.

Since I already have Nikon lenses and my dslr Nikon d50 is still going strong after 7 years, whenever it decides to die I'll pickup another since you can get a used one with all sorts of extras like batteries cases lenses sd cards bundled for the $200 price range over on that auction site.

For a point and shoot pocket camera that does video too, the LX3 hasn't let me down either. I didn't realize at that auction site used goes for under $150, you may want to look into the LX3 too.
