Default ISGB RAD

Ok, one more call for entries for ISGB members:

RAD: radically artistic in design
1rad*i*cal
adjective \'ra-di-kəl\
: very new and different from what is traditional or ordinary

This exhibit offers the freedom to create not from a specific theme or set of instructions, just openly create. Traditional glass beads with uniquely different use of other materials in the glass, with the glass, and as part of the finished piece are encouraged. This will be a collection of diverse forms that blur the boundaries between being guided to an end or creating openly where anything is the end.

RAD will showcase the latest techniques and processes as well as traditional methods and materials and how they imaginatively come together. Opening in conjunction with our 2014 Gathering in Houston, Texas, this exhibition highlights the cutting-edge creativity in one-of-a-kind bead, object, and jewelry design from artists around the world.

Anything. Everything. Radically artistic in design.

The details
-Create a work of art incorporating hand made glass.
-Submit one to two high resolution (300 dpi or greater) jpegs.
-There is a $30 application fee per entry and a $20 fee upon acceptance*.

*ISGB strives to keep our commitment to maximize exposure for our member artists. Due to a rise in shipping fees and our desire to not sacrifice exhibition travel, we are forced to offset these costs with an additional acceptance fee. We think you will find the value received in participating in ISGB exhibits to be very much worth participation fees.

All artists accepted into the exhibit will receive:
-Up to 2 dozen exhibit art cards upon request.
-Exhibition of their work in at least two locations in addition to Houston (three locations total).
-A professional photo of their work upon request.

Timeline
Deadline is May 16.
Notifications will be made by June 6.
Accepted works must be received by June 27.

We hope you will participate in this exciting exhibit! Questions? Contact Sarah Riggle at admin@isgb.org or 614.222.2243.
