Default Mai Tai

Probably not the best place for this.
I just found the several threads talking about TAG Mai Tai annd thought I'd get some. TAG has a minimum so can anyone tell me where the best price for Double Mai Tai and Mega Mai Tai can be found, please? Sure would appreciate it.
Thanks, PJH

Yes my friend, I did look and tried a bunch of places on the net. But Mike does not have any other than the Mai Tai Pink and I cannot tell from his product numbers how his rod matches up to TAG numbers. And, I was there (Frantz's shop) this weekend for an ISGB retreat and shopped his store very thouroughly and did not see it.

As I stated in the original post I read the other threads, did my due diligence searches, and asked for help with 2 specific colors. Did you really read my post?

Cheng076 ... I'm not sure who you normally buy from.

I'm pretty sure if we hit up Ross at ABR he will stock some. I've been just waiting and stocking up directly from TAG. I've been taking advantage of 2nds and odds to get more glass for my buck.

(hee hee ... I have 3 lbs fo TAG glass coming on Thursday!! ... can't wait)

P.S. I hit Dave at ABR up ... he will check into it tomorrow but believe they will have some soon.

Laura,
I don't have any preferance for suppliers and often buy from TAG but I would like to get a small amount to experiment with before I buy a larger amount. I will check with Jenny in the am and see what I can arrange.

cheng076 --- sounds like a plan ... I'm sure Jenny will take good care of you and get you some to play with.

Morgan (baywinger). I believe Dark Mai Tai was the experimental that is now known as Sasha's Oil Slick. I haven't been successful at keeping any good color in that one, yet.

Lots and lots of heat, plus it may need a long soak in the kiln at higher heat too.

I like the color sample pic from the website but I havent achieved that yet. Went with high oxidizing heat with some reduction mixed in the first time around and got primarily browns and tans. Only tried to strike it in the torch. Gotta work with this one some more.

Hi Cheng,

Jenny from TAG is awesome! She actually called me after I placed an order online to find out what I was looking for and hooked me up with only a few rods of Mai Tai so I could try it out AND threw in a rod of some other Mai Tai experimental for fun.

Good luck, I'm sure you will create something beautiful with it.

For those that want to know ... I hit up Dave at ABR. He now has 15 lbs of each of the three Mai Tai's coming and he plans on running a special once it comes in!!

I couldn't figure out which Mai Tai Mike has on sale from his description and/or numbers so I went to Jenny and was able to get what I needed.

Thank you all for helping out and especially to Magpie for her PMs and extra effort.
