Default Which glasses Should I buy?

Hi everyone!

I was looking for Which glasses are better for me.

I'm going to work With 33 COE boro and coloured boro too.

I've seen a SB lenses, and I'm not sure if they are the correct option. I worry about the safety of my eyes so if you could help me would be great.

Sorry about my english. I'm Spanish.

Thanks in advance!

Have a nice Monday 😊

We sell a lot of glasses at Trev's and seem to sell more Didys than anything else
Shade #3 sells too but it is pretty dark.. Trev uses the didy'd for Boro and then a shade #5
for the stronger one when he has his torch burning cranked up.

All you ever wanted to know about eye safety: Your eyes the only pair you have.

I recenty attended a class with some well known glass artists and they recommended shade #4s the only place I know of to get shade #4s is HERE

This is after spending $200 for shade #5s and not being able to see a whole lot.

I use the prescription Auralens with shade 3 or 4 flipup clipons. I found that 3 or 4 is too much for small stuff, but that the Auralens weren't enough for big stuff/cobalt work.

I have the Auralens prescription glasses that are "Split Lens" the top half or so is didy and the bottom has I think shade 4. I got these so long ago, I think they must be 12 - 14 years old now. Do they wear out? I can still see fine with them, they magnify my work and that
really helps me. Do you think I should get new ones? I am sure my prescription could be improved on, they always tweak my eye correction a little every year or two.
Oh, and I love them, while they are a little heavy, I wear 2 sport straps to keep the weight off my nose, the split lens is perfect, I use both sides when working.
