There is a large difference between heat (temperature, degrees) and heat (volume, BTU). For instance, my Smith little torch's flame is hot enough to melt copper, but does not put out enough volume of heat to melt anything bigger than a small stringer. If your torch is hot enough (temperature) to melt copper, the the question is, does this torch put out enough heat (volume) to melt a workable amount of boro? Only way to know for sure is to try.
