Schott clear and silver reaction
Does the Schott clear commonly used with Bullseye glass react with silver colors as most 104 COE clears do?

No I don't think it does. I have used it with BE silver glasses with no problem.

I'm not sure what you mean by "react" with silver. You mean turn it yellow under encasement?

That's I thought she meant Lynda. I could be wrong.

Cool, thanks Leslie.
Yes, turn it yellow, steal some luster, etc., when used to encase.

What steals the luster (if you're trying to encase luster glass) is too much heat. I struggle a lot with that.
I'm not sure if the schott clear yellows silver. I'd test, but I just had shoulder surgery last week and I can't really hold that arm up very well yet.
The regular clears will keep silver silver if you work VERY cool. If you want the yellow effect, just use more heat or the reactive clear.

What glass do you use that loses it's luster with too much heat?

The bullseye lusters. I haven't tried 104 silver glasses yet.

Sorry, I totally missed that you and the OP were talking about Bullseye. I misread the question and thought dusty was talking about Schott clear over 104 silver glass. Thanks for the clarification, Lynda.
