Sub for CIM Slytherin
Hi all,
I'm using a tutorial to make twisties for leaves. It calls for CIM slytherin.
What is a good substitute for slyherin?
Thanks,
Angela

Slytherin is sort of a dark olive green, very dark. Substitutes would be lighter but could include dark greens on the yellow side. So CIM Eel is similar, I think a little lighter....Eff Kiwi transparent also close.
Otherwise, really anything that looks good in your twistie, they can be different too, but I know it helps to use similar glass to start when you are learning a new tutorial.

Maybe Effetre Olive - it is lighter though. Slytherin is very dark in the rod. You can ask in the FB lampwork destash groups to see if anyone has some Slythering they will sell you.
AND! Editing to say that I should have said Effetre Sage Green transparent, 591019. It is bluer than Slytherin, but very nice.

Can you tell from the pics whether it’s important to use a transparent? Also, maybe the author could suggest something.

Thank you all!
It does look it probably needs to be a transparent.
I found a few rods of slytherin on etsy. I'll see how they look with the tut and then I'll play around with other colors. I do have eel grass.
