Default intense transparent colour

I'm just starting to make the salmon egg beads that I found in a copy of passing the flame spotlight on Silver and I'm curious what colours would anyone suggest to get deep coloured spots?

I've been able to make the beads but the transparents I'm using are all kindy wishy washy and not the intense colour I was hoping for.

I would really love an intense purple and I'm using dark purple over white (efferrete) and its not working for me. I would also love a nice deep red, green and blue.

thanks in advance if anyone can point me to some nice deep transparent colours.

How about Effetre Dark Violet and CiM Bordello, Sangre or even a dark Red from Lauscha. (Reichenbach has a nice garnet red too). Deep green maybe a dark emerald and a deep blue maybe Vetrofond Intense blue? Or if you want a really dark blue, I'd have to suggest Cobalt blue. It's the darkest of them all
Sounds like fun! I just peaked at the book and the salmon beads are awesome!

Default Intense Transparents

Creation is Messy has some of the most intense transparents. Bordello is a very deep garnet red, Leaky Pen is an intense Blue Teal, Great Bluedini is a green teal, and Slytherin is a dark very dark green/yellow. Effetre dark ink blue will give you a great purple and cobalt blue is a great navy blue and rubino is great for intense pinks.

Hope this helps! I think all these colors are available at most suppliers. The rubino may be hard to get right now, and is very pricey!

Thanks for those suggestions. I just love those salmon egg beads, they are my latest obsession. Good thing I snagged some rubino at a great price about 4 years ago. I can even afford to play with it, now that I've been reminded of it

Most batches of Terranova2.1 covered in clear and well struck will produce a very intense violet color. And as others have suggested, quite a few of the CIM colors are pretty saturated.

You could try Effetre's ink blue violet, which is a magnificent purple, and their transparent sage green is very nice.
