Default Pixie Dust

Does anyone know the proper/safe way to use pixie dust? Is there a way to contain it so it does go all over the work bench & floor?

I put it in a baby food jar and roll the hot bead inside it - with a respirator on as well, of course. I find it pretty easy that way and a minimal amount of dust.
