Default Do I still need fire brick under my kiln?

My new kiln just arrived today, WHOHOO!
It has a stand, legs are 6-8" high (sorry didn't measure)
Do I still need to put fire brick or concrete under it?

Don't want to burn the house down

Thanks
Diane

Nope, assuming it is one of the small tabletops kilns, the 6 to 8 inch legs is all you need. You do still need to put it on a fireproof surface though - a large ceramic tile works great.
