Puffy Hearts
Is there a tuit on making the puffy hearts, I have several presses but none give me the puffy full rounded effect. If not could someone share information on how it's done?

Liz ... could you post a pic of the type of puffy heart you are thinking of? I make puffy hears making a hollow bead first. I certainly don't mind explaining my process but want to be sure it's what you want first.

Kimberly
I agree I like puffy hearts that don't look like they are "stamped" out of glass. but alas this is the only kind I can make that comes out looking like a heart.
Sadie
The puffy hearts I am dying to make are some what like Aimee has in the Valentine show and tell. Her photo is #10 I think. They rock

Gee Thanks everyone for your response to my problem. I think I'll give a few of the ideas a try and see what works for me

My heart tutorial makes fairly Puffy hearts http://fireballbeeds.com/hearts.html
For puffier hearts add an exta ring of glass prior to flattening (you can sort of see the extra glass at the top of the cylinder in picture 6, the more you add their the puffier the heart!

I really don't look like the photos! In real life, I look like this:

What a perfect picture!
You must feel exactly like that when you finish one of your seahorse beads! Exhilarated!
I always like to make the hearts from Corina's book....those are the only ones I seem to get right....

Here's some hollow puffy hearts, I created last year for the Beads of Courage project. They are simply made from a hollow bead base then slumped using the flame, then fumed. Fortunately.... Sadie just posted a tutorial for this sort of technique!! Excellent - Thanks Sadie!
P.S. in real life, I look like the sea horse in Kimberly's photo above. BTW, Kimberly, I've been meaning to tell you this... do you know every time I see a commerical with the AFLAC duck, I hear "Affleck" and I think of you?
