Default Best clear for batch anneal?

I'm working on a large project where the pieces are clear rod with multiple simple bends in each rod. They are too big for my kiln, so I have been making them, sitting them on top of the kiln to cool and will batch anneal in a larger kiln at a later date. Currently I am using 11mm Simax, but need to order more glass. I may also do some pieces in 16mm. So far all of the Simax has cooled well outside of the kiln without cracks. Since I'll need a couple cases of glass for this project I was wondering if I could save some dollars and get the
Chinese glass for at least one of the cases. I understand they are 4 feet long instead of 5. Cutting them in half would yield a good working length for this project since the Simax rods are cut in thirds and I aiming for various heights.

Any advice on the Chinese clear? I'd hate to have a bunch of them crack because I cheaped out on the glass.
