Default Gorilla glue

Does anyone know of a way to remove gorilla glue from sterling silver?

I'd try an industrial solvent like Acetone, Trichloroethane, Toluene, Xylene or any of those. It is polyurethane so it's pretty tough stuff.

According to the website you chip/sand it off.

I second Roy. Try the acetone and/or chipping/sanding off.

I think goo gone has toluene, so that may be an easier item to find. Let the silver soak in the goo gone ( or other solvent of choice). It probably won't dissolve it, but should make it soft so you can rub it off with a scrubby or your fingernail.

After soaking maybe hit it with a hairdryer to soften enough to scrape if off.

You are going to need to use Methylene Chloride stripper, Acetone or MEK

Toluene, Xylene main ingredents in Goof off/goo gone will not cut it!

The stuff is awful isn't it? The way it foams up and expands. But it does hold well. Sorry, I'm no help, lol...

I've used nailpolish remover. Use a ceramic cup or glass that you can toss out after. Soak your item in it over nite and it should come off. Then rinse in a solution of soap baking soda and water. It worked for me.

What ever you do do not put it in the kiln to "burn" it off. Here is the MSDS sheet, nasty byproducts when it burns.
