pearl color and shine?
Is anyone aware of a pearlized (natural - cream) color in rod form - any coe is fine, lighter than an ivory.
Thanks!
Barbara

Does it have to be 104? Maybe shampoo glass if not? I have seen pictures and it is very pretty.

yes second the pearl beige. It is listed as a mystic, under transparents for some reason on the Olympic color rod site. There is a darker one as well. I love the pearl beige, and i will say that you need to work all the mystics a little cool, and not overwork them

I've heard that Effetre white opalino is pearly looking, I think it's #504 maybe?

I've actually gotten that effect from Marvelous. It's beautiful.

I seem too lose the pretty and subtle shine of shampoo glass unless i melt one huge blob and place that hot blob on the mandrel without further heat to shape the bead nicely. looks like a croissant when i'm done!
I don't have any of the suggested colors, will try the Olympic Color first
Where do I find "marvelous"? Is it Effetre?
I ordered a beige color from Double Helix and will try it tonight.
Thanks so much for all the suggestions, keep them coming!

Mauvelous, I believe it is called, sort of mauve but light. it is a Vetrofond odd, Frantz carries it.

Czech shampoos have to be worked cool, cool, cool. If you see little sparkles flying ... the sheen is burning out.
Czech has a white shampoo and I have a cream/beige that only comes in pressing rod form instead of lampworking cane. It could be blended with white if too dark.
However ... I agree with the statements on Pearl Beige. They also have Mystic Beige but I don't like that as well ... it seems to stay more tranparent for me than the Pearl. Love it as a base for silver glass as well since it is Non-reactive!!
