Default Nortel Red Max Lampworking Torch

Hi everyone... I have a torch question

Would you recommend using a Nortel Red Max Lampworking Torch with a 5 PSI oxy concentrator?

I don't use Oxy concentrators but I do have a Red Max with a Mega Minor on top. I messed around with the propane/oxy levels to see what works best and I usually run it at 8 psi at the least. I usually have to crank it up to 10 or 12 on the bigger tubing but I guess it depends what your working with to.

Hope this helps some.

We have been using a Red Max with TWO M-20 and it works great.

One for the center flame and one for the outer.

Works great.

MIke...

Definitely no. I have a Midrange (one step down) and it's challenged with an 8 lpm oxygen generator. It's fine for soft glass, that way, but it thrives on tanked oxy to work boro or larger pieces well.
