Default PMC and Jewelry Classes in St. Louis with Kate McKinnon

We are pleased as punch to be hosting the always entertaining Kate McKinnon in St. Louis for 2 great classes and 4 full days of learning and fun.

First up is Jewelry Making for Lampworkers, Thursday and Friday, June 26-27, 2008
Do you make beads but then get stuck when it comes to making them into something wearable? Imagine your own lampworked beads used to their best advantage in a beautiful, unique piece of jewelry. Even if you're not a lampworker, this class will show you how to use any kind of beads you may have on hand. This class will answer all your questions about how to make something great out of those crazy shapes and sizes of beads that you just couldn't resist buying.

Second is Advanced Precious Metal Clay, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, 2008
This is a whirlwind of super-cool PMC techniques. Learn to make gorgeous solid fine silver jewelry in the safest, most efficient and structurally sound way. Kate has pioneered all these aspects of working with PMC. No more flimsy, breakable jewelry. Your pieces will stand the test of time and you will go home understanding the principles behind making your PMC the best that it can be.

Despite the class titles, both classes are open to newbies as well as experienced PMC and jewelry makers. Classes include tons of materials including fine silver wire in several sizes and a whopping 2 ounces of silver clay in the advanced metal clay class. Tools will be provided for your use so you don't have to being anything at all.

These classes are flexible enough to allow plenty of exploration and structured enough to be sure that you get all the information you need to proceed on your own.

Come out and play!
