Question silver encasing?

hello,

my question is must i allways encase silver with transparent lausha?
or can i use a little piece and use it on the outsite off the bead ?

You don't have to encase silverleaf, you can leave it on the surface if you like. Also , try avoiding encasing silver with lauscha, the silver turns to gold when encased with lauscha. Try kugler, vetrofond or moretti instead to keep the silver from turning gold

Hi maroke, Suzanne is right. But the silver will get off the bead when it is on the surface of it. And the fire will burn it out so nothing will be left when you take the bead out of the flame. But maybe it works, mine didn`t

The trick is to get the glass hot enough to hold the silver , and cool enough not to burn off the silver. I have done it with both silver and goldleaf and none of it has come off yet
