Default ultra clear vetrofond/effetre glass

Has anyone tried the new supposed ultraclear vetrofond/effetre glass lines? Are they worth paying more for? Do they handle differently? Is there a significant difference in the appearance of an encased bead if they are used? They may have been around for a long time for all I know, but they were being pushed at a local glass shop.

I could see that the "standard" clear was more yellow and the "ultraclear" was more bluish, but in such thin layers as are used on a bead I didn't know if there was a difference.

Thanks

Yes, it is much more clear compared to the regular clear. It works nicely and looks great on encasing. BUT, Lauscha looks the best and it is so similar in price to the Vetro. super clear that I suggest just going for the Lauscha. It needs to go in the kiln glowing which is opposite to the vetro. but it has such clarity and a gorgeous crystal clear finish.

Thanks Tracey,

I'll give the lauscha a try. I didn't know if it really made a difference or not. I'll have to just go check it out.

Thanks

I'd say get yourself a little of the 3 brands and try them out. Never go with what someone else will tell you until you have tried because some people like one brand more then the other etc. It is the same a bead release! People like a specific brand because it is easy for them to use compared to the others.

Use what people tell you but try it out for yourself!
