Default Bezel Setting Tutorial by Donna Millard

It's finally ready, my bezel tutorial for setting your own lampwork beads in sterling (or stones) is finished.

This is the setting I demo in my tutorial:

The tutorial is 50 pages long and will be sent in a pdf format to your email address. It includes a complete tool and material list with part numbers for ordering ease. Step by step text and photo's will guide you through the process.

It is available only through my website.

Please click the link below to be taken right to the ordering page:

Bezel Setting Tutorial

Thank-you everyone for your interest. This is my first full blown tutorial, I hope you like it.

Editing this post because I didn't realize my other thread was going to be deleted by admin. once I started this one. I know there were a couple people I was going to contact but now that the thread is gone I am unable to do so because I don't remember who it was. My apologies.

I got mine and I have to say This is very well written and put together with a lot of thought involved and the step by step pictures are awesome. Donna you outdid yourself with this! I went to bed last night dreaming of this wonderful tutorial and woke up this morning with it still on my mind. Now I'm gathering up all my supplies and hopefully I will get to work on it this coming week. Thanks again for doing this.

Just ordered it. I'm looking forward to it. I need a refresher on bezel settings. It's been a few years since I played with silver and solder.
Thanks,
Darlene

Great tutorial! Question (sorry if this is dumb) how do you do the pattern on the silver

Thank-you Janet (and sorry I didn't respond sooner, I just saw this now).

Most of the bezel strip I use comes with the pattern already done. It's called "gallery wire" which I give the Rio part number for it in my tut. It's under the material section of the tut. Otherwise, if I use just a plain bezel strip I use metal stamps, such as something from beaducation for punching/stamping in my own design.

Oh la la! I really love the tutorial you created. Accidentally fell upon it when returning to your shop for murrini... what luck! I have been wanting to learn to make bezels for 2 years now. Thank you! Really, I mean that. You are such an inspiration to so many lampworkers. I might have a question or two later (probably not, since your tutorial is so wonderfully detailed). Hope you have a lovely week Donna.
All the best,
Heather

Nice tutorial. I finished a bezel and will try and get a photo of it to upload here.

Thanks Donna!
