Reduction flame with a Hot Head

I use a Hot Head torch. I know how to make a reduction flame. However, I strugle with how to use it.

I have reduction frit and raku frit I would love to use correctly. Once a make the reduction flame. do I put the bead at the top of the dark triangle? Higher in the flame where I normally work the bead (when it is not reduction)? Low down by the torch head?

How long do I work the bead in the reduction flame? I have tried several ways I seem to get the same look no mater what color or frit I am using..

I don't know myself, but Fritobsessed (MaryJo) does reduction on a HH. She is very friendly. Shoot her a PM, she may be able to help.
