8M sm21 running hot on oxycons?
hello everyone just lit my torch for the first time and had it running for about 5 mins and the torch got hot enough to be to hot to touch the hose fittings.
I'm running my 8m on a newlife airsep intensity 10lpm unit. I have the sm21 tip and an sm 7 or 11. I was using the sm 21 and I'm hoping to get some flame pics as well for a better idea what to look for.
Any help would be awesome! I really don't wanna mess up my equipment and I've ran an 8m decently on LOX before. I do have another 5lpm unit I could daisy chain in if it'd help. Please please help me grt this running smoothly

Do not know if you will sign back on before the flush tonight, so here is a copy of what I posted to you in the BR tonight:
Jeremy, You may find your answers in this thread (some pictures included):

Wish I could offer up more information but I have never used a National.
Good luck!

It works when I click on it in this post. If it will not open by clicking on link, just type in the above address.

I have the same torch and tip and yes it does get a bit warm. I would definitely use a second concentrator as I use two for mine and it works pretty good.

One 10m concentrator is not enough oxygen with SM 21 tip to cool torch.... You should either move down to smaller tip (SM 11) or add second concentrator.... Oxygen flow through tip causes flame to stand off tip face just a tiny bit and tip runs cooler... More oxygen flow cooler tip will be...
