I having been using Foster Fire for several years now and had no issue....I just purchased some large hole mandrels (1 1/2 inches) and the release will not stick to them...ahhhhhhh!!! Tried everything....thinnin, thickening, more heat, less heat and it keeps pulling off the mandrel....any suggestions??

Did you do anything to the mandrels before using them? Heat them in the torch, or use a bit of steel wool to give them a bit of "tooth"?
I've never used mandrels that large, so don't really know.

Try roughing up your mandrels with fine sandpaper prior to use

Put your mandrels through an anneal cycle and it will remove all traces of oil and dirt. Ready to use!

Yep, I always run my mandrels through the kiln once before using, ready to go!

There can be a fine film of oil on them when they are new. I don't remember what I did it mine, but I vaguely recall Dawn dishwashing soap and then an anneal cycle.
