Default 2 Lauscha Questions

I don't use Lauscha very often but recently found a transparent purple hiding amongst my other rods. On the tag it says "Famous Purple" ... Can someone tell me what the number and/or actual name is please. Also, since I'll be buying more of it, what other colors do you recommend? The purple is really clear and gorgeous. Thanks.

I bought some from Flame Dame a bit ago, this is from the order confirmation:

Lauscha FAMOUS PURPLE 7 TO 9 mm (SNT 255)

Her site is down for maintenance right now though, so that's all I got

Famous purple is very beautiful, but I like it over a light base...clear or white, or even pale pink or blue.

Hi Angie. I am on my way up North for 3 weeks. Once I get back Flamedame will be opened until next summer. Your purple is Blue-Violet 255 transparent. AKA at the factory as Earth Blue. SuperNova is the same thing except that silver is added to it. Yes is IS gorgeous. We know mostly of the opaque colors because they all seem to react with copper green but Lauscha has gorgeous transparents too. Some to look at are forest green, moss green, smoke, transparent pink, tangerine. 219 red transparent, the aquas, peach (rosalyn). Special situations are Caramello and Vanilla Ice.

Be sure to anneal at 960 especially when mixing with other manufacturers glass. Lauscha does not burn, boil, scum, or pop into Frit! Also reheat your bead before you pop it into the annealer!

I have a pile of it in stock regular version and dark version. eta Sorry I am not here right this minute but it is time to meet my brother's first grandson and also get my 10 year cancer check done. Both of those things I need to do in CT!

Don't worry Paula...I can wait. You take care of the "important" things cuz family comes first...well, maybe second to your health!! Good luck with your check up. We'll talk when you get back.
