Default Dog or puppy face tutorial???

I would love to make a puppy/dog face or full body for a friend who is active in Golden Retriever Rescue. Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial?\

Thanks...Rae

I've made a few doggies...mostly cats, but I can certainly talk you through a basic doggie face. Once you get the basic hang of it I am sure you will put your own spin on it...this is kind of generic.

I'd use opal yellow for a golden...it is such a soft color and forgiving while you add the details. Pull stringers in pink, opal yellow, and black.

If you have a button press that would work nice, but you could also make round beads and press into a tab type shape.

Once you have your flattened dog "face" , add two large dots of opal yellow on either side of the head...flatten these and you have ears. You can make them on the face surface or even on the actual sides of the bead.

then add the tongue...as a dot and melt in a tiny bit. Then take your opal yellow stringer and add the "cheeks" slightly above the tongue and side by side. Last of all use the black for the nose and two merry little eyes.

If you want a darker golden I'd suggest using OY encased in amber...then later etch but leave the eyes and nose shiny.

I hope this helps!

Thanks so much. I'm a real newbie and guess I am very timid about creating my own look for things yet. Viewing your beautiful beads....especially the cats is most helpful.
